The Covidien SORB-IT Drain and I.V. Sponges are used in wound care. This is an alternative for premium sponges with a pre-cut notch that conforms well around catheters, drains, IVs, chest tubes and tracheostomies. It is sterile and virtually lint-free, which reduces the risk of wound contamination.
